From the sims gate we took a lift till Esquare and from there onwards a kind gentleman dropped us till deccanand then walked rest of the way.After a denial at shagun we approached koutons and a little coaxing and convicing ensured us employment for the day.
We were incharge of a massive section dealing with T-shirts, ties , trousers etc
We started by reorganising the shelves on the basis of colours, patterns, sizes etc. We also labelled the shelves for better accessibility.During our stint eleven customers came to us we were able to sell to ten of them.the manager was highly impressed and appreciated our efforts.
The discount schemes which were on helped us in convincing the customers that they are getting a good deal.Our sales were around six thousand rupees. We were offered refreshments by the shop and hence did not even have to pay for lunch. On our way back we got more than lucky by getting a lift from lakshmi road to SIMS.
The entire experience was extremely enlightening and we obtained a first hand dealing with customers . In this short span our marketting skills were honed and established and our belief in practical experience was reinforced. A memorable day.
